Building Permit Fees

A. Accessory Structure Building Permits

  • Fee: $0
  • Plus: Any direct costs incurred by the county (e.g., publication costs, mailings, copies).

B. Primary Structure Building Permits

  • Fee: 0.75% of the estimated cost of construction.
  • Agricultural Land Discount:
    • 0.5% for developments on land assessed as 3a, 3d, or 3g.
    • 0.25% for developments on land assessed as 4a, 4d, or 4g.

Other Fees

A. Variance Application

  • $25 plus any direct costs incurred to the county.

B. Zoning Change Application

  • $100 plus any direct costs incurred to the county.

C. Conditional Use Permit Application

  • $25 plus any direct costs incurred to the county.

D. Subdivision Application

  • $250 plus $25 per lot, plus any direct costs incurred to the county.

E. Feedlot Permit

  • $0.10 per head of maximum feedlot capacity.
  • Permit is valid for 10 years from date of issuance.

F. Billboard Permit

  • $500
  • Permit is valid for 5 years from date of issuance.
